To me, photography is about creativity. It is about passion. It is about inspiration. It is about freedom.
I LOVE to take pictures. I am actively working on becoming a better photographer. I buy books, attend seminars, and shoot – a lot!
I leaf through magazines and see some amazing images. I look carefully at the images to determine how the photographer has used lighting to focus on the subject of the image.
At work, I have a reputation of being a photographer. Because of that, I get a ton of questions. Members of my family call me to ask me a “quick question about photography”. It doesn’t bother me at all. I am flattered that they think I know more than them.
I am a part time semi-professional photographer. I would like to be full time. I want to know everything there is to know about photography, how to get better at shooting, how to better control light, how to identify the best new equipment, and how to find revenue opportunities with photography.
I don’t pretend to know everything, in fact, the more I learn, the more I feel like I don’t know anything. What I do know is that I am willing to share. Share my ideas, share my experience, and share my knowledge about photography.
I would love to create a community around photography, tips to become a better photographer, courses, classes, videos, and books about improving photography skills, and about the business of photography — making more photo income.
